GREAT SEDONA HIKES
Hot Loop Hike
Located about 2 miles out Jack's Canyon Road, this hike takes you near
Woods Canyon up to Wild Horse Mesa. There, approximately 3 miles from
the start of the hike, you can go to the north side of Wild Horse Mesa
and have great views of Lee Mountain and Jack's Canyon. The name "Hot Loop" refers to
the branding irons the early cowboys used to brand the wild horses they
captured here on Wild Horse Mesa (branding iron = a "hot loop"), and not to describe the hike.
