Summary: A scenic hike to an overlook of some Indian Ruins
Challenge Level: Moderate
Hiking Distance: About 1 1/4 mile each way, 2 1/2 miles round trip
Trailhead Directions: From the "Y" (the intersection of State Route 89A and State Route 179), drive west on SR 89A towards Cottonwood 3 miles. Turn right on Dry Creek Road. Stay on Dry Creek for 2 miles and turn right on FR 152. Proceed on FR 152 for 2 1/2 miles to the parking area on your right. FR 152 can be extremely rough so a high clearance vehicle is recommended. The trailhead is shared with the west end of the Brins Mesa Trail. Hike the Brins Mesa Trail for about 225 feet ( 75 paces) and turn right on to the Lost Canyon Trail.
Description: You'll be climbing from altitude about 4600 feet to 5000 feet for this hike. The overlook where you can see the Indian Ruins below is pretty spectacular. The red rock views along the trail are very nice. We hiked a little further than the Indian Ruins and the trail continues toward Devil's Bridge.
